GLI has had great news
to report from our partner Oliver Glanz at Andrews University:
In August Bible OL went online with its third language sensitive
interface, Portuguese. After English and Danish, users from the Portuguese
speaking world can now utilize Bible OL in their own language. Felipe Alves
Masotti, a Brazilian PhD student of the seminary at Andrews University has
successfully finished the translation of the GUI. Under the supervision of Dr
Oliver Glanz not only the general BibleOL functions are translated but also the
linguistic categories utilized by the Greek and Hebrew ETCBC databases.
that Portuguese speaking users in Europe, Africa, and Brazil will enjoy the new
interface and benefit from the learning enhancing features of Bible OL.
Within short time the Andrews group also hope to finish the translation of the BibleOL's
Hebrew dictionary into Portuguese. We will keep you posted.
