The general purpose for GLI is to support e-learning activities and collaboration. Only names and email are stored in order to support contact to users of the site.
You can use some functions on the website without registering. In that case, we collect no personal information about you.
If you are less that 16 years old, you must not have an account on this website. By accepting these terms, you simultaneously confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
What Do We Collect?
If you set up an account on this website, we collect the following information:
- Email address
This information is used for the purpose of
- identifying you when you use the website,
- if necessary, send you emails about the status of this website.
When you use this website, we furthermore collect information about:
- in what courses you are enrolled,
- your learning activities
This data is used to
- give you access to learning activities in a course
- enable teachers to assess your progress,
- enable teachers to assess the effectiveness of their teaching.
Who Has Access to Your Data?
Persons associated with Global Learning Initiative as teachers or administrators can see your data. Note that some of these persons are located outside the EU and are therefore not subject to EU legislation.
We will not provide your information to a third party for marketing or promotional purposes, nor will we sell your information.
How Can You Change Your Data?
If you have created your
account directly in Moodle, you can change your name and identity information and how personal data are shown to the public.
If you use a Facebook or Google account to access the Moodle site, you can change your profile data on Facebook or Google.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account under the “Profile” menu item from the “My Data” menu. This will remove all information about your name and email address from this website.
Revoking Your Acceptance
Overview of the Collected Data
You can find the collected personal information under the “My Data” menu. There, you will also find a summary of the collected exercise results.
If you want a complete electronic record of all your data, you can request a zip-file from the data protection officer Nicolai Winther-Nielsen.
We do our best to ensure that your data is not lost due to technical or human error, but we cannot be held responsible for any loss of data.
According to current EU regulation, you have the right to complain about how your personal information is being used here. You can file a complaint with your national data protection authority.
